YOU MAKE THE CALL! Would YOU Buy A PORSCHE TAYCAN OR A TESLA AND A 911 And Own The Best Of BOTH Worlds?
When I first saw the Porsche Mission-E Concept I thought to myself if they can not dumb down the design too much, beat Tesla range and compete on price, it would be a slam dunk winner.

Well, they got one out of three. I looks damn good although I'm not sure at this point how well it will age. It's a little 'cartoonish'. But that is one of its design strengths AND weaknesses.

But they missed on beating the Tesla range after they had nine years to do it and THE PRICE IS INSANE!

Did I mention THE PRICE IS INSANE?

So I got to thinking if I had the dough to buy a Taycan and I wanted an electric car would I buy one OR...Would I buy a Tesla AND a 911 and have the best of both worlds? You could do that as long as you don't go off the charts on the 911 option list.

To me, it's an EASY call.

Tesla AND 911 and enjoy each in whatever move I'm in.

What would be YOUR call?

Taycan for me. Yes it's stupidly overpriced, but it's a car that you can enjoy living with. The 911 is always a clown car with it's big shoes and and its spinning bow tie...

But you would have a Tesla as a daily as well for the same $$$.

And I would want the horrible quality of a Tesla why???

Would be crazy to take the Taycan in this scenario, but there are plenty of crazy people around.

No way a well configured 911 and a model 3 costs the same as a decent Taycan.

Base Taycan 4S is $96K after the tax credit. A well configured Carrera S at least $140k.

I would go for a Model S Plaid and a Cybertruck versus the Taycan. A Tesla and a 911 would work too, but I'd really like to stick with pure EVs from here on out.

I wish, but I guess you could consider TSLA stock appreciation a form of payment?

I'll take a diesel pickup truck so I can actually tow something. The Porsche would be the sports car. And the Tesla the everyday toy car so I can fit in with the cool kids who want to have the image of being eco conscious even though the Tesla actually uses up just as much if not more resources.

How much do you need to tow? I think the Model Y can do 3,500 lbs. Last quality video I saw was great, 0 issues or panel gaps.

I really like the new 3 with chrome delete and the power trunk, it's almost a tempting upgrade if my car wasn't only 2 years old. Maybe when they do the next AP hardware upgrade.

You're clearly a Silicon Valley weenie if you think 3500 pounds is a massive towing ability.

Since I have towed exactly 0 lbs before, I have no idea what's needed.

This seems pretty hypocritical for a guy giving kudos to Kia every 15 minutes.

Poor Carlosasshatter giving one of his typical illogical replies. We must be his village because he is overcompensatory and thinks thinks that the only measure of a man is his shoe size. To compensate for his egregious shortfall, he's running his mouth again and is failing again. SanJoseDimwit has admitted to working for Tesla. He let it slip once. Tried desperately to deny it and finally gave up. I don't work for Kia or Hyundai or Ford or Lincoln or Chevrolet or Buick or Cadillac or Ram or...I work for myself and am damn good at raking in the income.

GT4 + a VW iD4 or Basic Model 3

Electric is meant for an utilitarian daily driver and for the fun car, you want the funnest but still relatively good value (in the Porsche world).

though you should be choosing the pricier AWD versions for each of these cars - 1 Taycan cant equal both the Model 3 + 911.

the Tesla is far less "sexier" than the newer Taycan.

...and you sit inside. The Porsche EV interior just "feels" better.
