There is going to be a bloodbath...it is a 2 way street, Tesla is going to have start competing with vehicles that aren't $h%tboxes....it starts with the Mach E, and then the upcoming Nissan and VW evs.

The German luxury makes have it even worse, because there is not much they can do to differentiate themselves and justify the high prices. Ford and GM are actually in the best position to succeed because they can concentrate ICE resources on a few high profit lines and let the remainder of their ICE vehicles age and cut prices to keep them moving...this will free up capital for the EV lineups.

No real demand for the ramp up for EV in the U.S. other then for Tesla models! Going to have a lot of unsold EV in the dealerships in 2021 and beyond.

If market forces are left to their own there is not much real demand right now until you get to 46-50k price range...but you are discounting the effect of governmental intervention.
