WHICH Company Does The WORST Job Converting A Hot Concept Into The Final Production Vehicle?

I know none of us have been to any major auto shows in a while but who doesn't remember the excitement of being at them and seeing the companies unveil their really cool concept vehicles.

And then we wait to see it they will decide to produce it and wait for it to show up on the showroom floor.

But who among hasn't experienced the disappointment of seeing the finished product and thinking wow, they really dumbed this down.

So after all that wait the letdown is immense.

It's almost unrecognizable to the vehicle we fell in love with at the show.

So tell us, WHICH company/companies are the WORST offenders from concept to production?

Well the biggest let down is Cadillac, they can't even begin the process of going from great concept to production. Another one that was a let down for me was the original Porsche Boxter. I thought the concept looked very good and although I know there were not that many changes to get it into production, the sum of the changes really lost the feel of the concept car. I liked the Cayman a lot better when that came out. The side intakes were better executed, the rear window recess cool (like an old GTO or Charger) and the rear haunches were very nicely done on the Cayman.

Caddy. They had some beauties that could of saved the brand and opened new markets to them but then come out with half assed tarted up Chevys and slap on a Caddy badge...

Audi and VW..they have great concept cars but the production versions looked like the result of a focus group with Hertz and Enterprise Rental Car executives.
