Rivian Sells Out Of Reservations Slots For New EV Pickup

Rivian confirmed that it has already sold out the reservation slots for the first version of its electric pickup truck.

All without even giving the wider public access to the configurator.
Last week, Rivian unveiled its final pricing and configurations for the first version of the R1T and R1S.

The startup then opened up its configurator for people who have placed reservations with a $1,000 deposit on its vehicles over the last 2 years.

I took a refund after going through the config on the SUV. It climbs north of $85k really quick. Not about to commit to buy without seeing some real specs and testing. Looking to replace our gx460 but might have to hold a little longer. Wife might drive 10 miles a day (probably less on average) so electric would be nice but not at these price points.
