FBI Statistics Show A Car Is Stolen Every 36 Seconds In The US

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released crime statistics for 2024 and they paint an interesting picture. While crime is down, someone is murdered every 31.1 minutes.

 

That’s terrible, but we’re more interested in motor vehicle theft. The FBI says there were an estimated 880,327 thefts last year and that means there were 258.8 per 100,000 people.
