Cox Automotive released its November 2025 automotive transaction data. As you may have already guessed, new car prices have continued rising. The average new car transaction price currently sits just below $50,000 at $49,814. The vehicles that have been getting crazy expensive, like pickup trucks and luxury SUVs, are only getting more expensive. And truly affordable cars, those listed for less than $30,000, are only becoming even rarer by the day.
