As if Dodge didn't have enough problems with the redesigned Charger, the Stellantis-controlled brand has made the all-electric Charger Daytona way more expensive for model year 2027. The $12,500 pricing difference is not tied to any meaningful upgrade, which makes the hike all the more asinine.
 
On the upside, the entry-level Charger R/T with the Hurricane inline-six turbo retains its 2026 starting price of $49,995 before destination charge. Mostly a carryover year with little in the way of equipment adjustments, the 2027 Dodge Charger welcomes a NACS charging port for the Daytona, giving it access to the Tesla Supercharger network.
