Audi picks Hungary for A3 convertible production
The Audi A3 Convertible is already confirmed by Claus Haverkamp, Head of Body Structure Development at Audi. Today, Audi has announced that it has picked its Gyor plant in Hungary to produce its A3 Convertible from 2008.

“The Gyor (production) site (in western Hungary) has excelled in the production of premium vehicles during recent years … therefore it is optimally suited for the assembly of a new model alongside the Audi TT Coupe and the TT Roadster,” Audi said in a statement...

I don't think this car is necessary for Audi. They are going to have too many models. However on the positive side at least Audi is making alternative cars to Mercedes wide range of vehicles. Audi offers different style than the BMW/MB companies and that may be good.

Glad to see the Germans covering it all.
