Ever since the Lancer Evolution was killed off, Mitsubishi has lacked any models one could consider ‘exciting.’ That, however, despite the company’s recent policy, might just change in the future.

The problem is that for the cost of an EVO there are better choices and the EVO is NOT exactly affordable.

Yep. They were big money when they were for sale in Canada. Nearly $50k. Same as the STI. If you want a WRC homage ride you have to pay. But the regular Lancer was not exactly a regular sight on the road. And I think that is a much bigger problem for the brand then not having an EVO version for sale.

EVO should have been their "M Division" rather than a trim level on the Lancer.

Might be too late to really do that as a lot of the hype from the peak of the Rally cars days is a distant memory and the people they would look to attract would likely not know much about that. Having said that I would like to see it happen.
