SPIED + VIDEO: All-new C8 Corvette Nabbed Doing SHAKEDOWN Testing At The Nürburgring — Is It Us Or Does This Car Look FAST?
We're nearing closer to the all-new Chevrolet Corvette's July 18 launch. But before the leaks start happening, we'd like to show you something a bit more telling.

That would be the latest spy video shot at the world famous Nürburgring.

Seen doing some last minute shakedown testing, it's very clear that the all-new Stingray is being pushed. And, being pushed hard. It is MOVING through the corners.

While it's not the first time we're hearing the Corvette's upcoming V8, you get a good listen of it at full chat. All I can think is, boy, this car will be something in Z06 and ZR1 trim.

What say you, Spies?

Today I recorded the new 2020 Corvette C8 at the Nurburgring. Chevrolet took four camoflaged Corvette's C8 to the Nurburgring and drove them around. I tried to record the laptimes but sadly enough the Corvettes were not driving constantly and it seems that they had to adjust (Or cool down?) every time after a round on the Nurburgring so know that these are not official laptimes and they currently didnt even try to go for a lap record. Just some fun time figures. Enjoy the video.

The C7 was a great fast handling car and the C8 will be even better yet. It may offend the traditionalists but it will take performance up a notch and handle even better. The Corvette engineering team is the only part of GM that's got its act together.

And it will cost significantly more than a C7 which will destroy its customer base.

Sounds as lazy as AMG... miss screaming V10

But the MR platform uses contact patch efficiently and dances properly. Wish it's scalable so Chevrolet can sell it to BMW/Honda/Toyota

I'm not sure the customer base will be destroyed. Corvettes seem to appeal to the well to do AARP crowd more than anything.

This is projected to cost MINIMUM 50% more in base form and that is losing the base. I can access customer demographics for the use of marketing.

This will leave a majority of the Corvette demographic behind. I understand that this platform may need to cost more, but is the demographic that wants to spend 100 large on a sports car going to spend it on a Chevy. It is a sizable risk.

Currently you can have a Z06 for $90-100K and the new Corvette concerns dealers because some of what's getting back to us is that the BASE Corvette will be $100K.

Killing the Stingray was DUMB.

The electric VW looked and was far faster.

The VW ID R electric race car has picked up a Nürburgring lap record with a 6:05.336 run around the 'Ring. That's about 40 seconds faster than the previous lap record, set by the also-impressive Nio EP9 electric hypercar.
