Tesla is getting ready to increase electric-vehicle production, according to an internal email, after achieving record deliveries in the second quarter.

The company is "making preparations" to raise output at its plant in Fremont, California, Tesla's automotive president, Jerome Guillen, said in an email to employees on Tuesday. "While we can't be too specific in this email, I know you will be delighted with the upcoming developments.'

Only makes sense if there are customers and this can be profitable. Otherwise, ramping up production is just another attention getting move.

THere are announced product from a LOT of Manufacturers over the next three years - most of which will have a Tax credit advantage over Tesla since TEsla has already used up its allotment.

This will be where Tesla's Set Price will become a big problem along with its lack of sales/service facilities. EVs will become available LOCALLY - and those traditional dealerships WILL be able to compete with each other. I believe that at least a portion of EV sales are waiting for local dealers to have competitive product - and they WILL.
