See The Link? UAW Claims GM Is The Most Profitable Of The Detroit 3 Yet Employs The Least Amount Of Union Workers

As dozens of UAW members from Lordstown, Ohio, protested outside, the union's president on Tuesday called on General Motors to keep open U.S. plants it has unallocated as part of a sweeping cost-cutting plan.

Gary Jones, speaking at the handshake ceremony to open what are expected to be contentious contract negotiations, argued that GM owes the union a commitment to invest in its U.S. manufacturing footprint.

"We invested in you; now it's your turn to invest in us," Jones said. "We will leave no stone unturned to protect our brothers and sisters at the locations put on the block. We call on GM to keep these plants open and allocate more products on American soil. It can be done."

Nothing wrong with the amount of Union workers - the workers have the right to Unionize if they vote to - and apparently they have not voted to do so - which is their CHOICE.

THat - of course - makes GM more profitable because Non-Union workers tend to have cheaper and less comprehensive benefits.

Once they come up with a way to get rid of commissioned salespeople - and still sell the cars - then the dealers will profit too.

the UAW support communism. They are in bed with the criminal and corrupt Democrat party who provides corrupt liberal judges to find actions in favor of the corrupt liberal actions. That way, the UAW gets more money which allows them to donate hundreds of millions of dollars to the dirt bag Democrat party. Then the Democrat keep getting suit passes for more money to the unions who kick back to the corrupt Democrat party. It is insidious and devious.

Liberal dirt yield more liberal filth. The U.S.A. and union workers are the big losers and victims.

If your kids are forced to work and you stayed home on Sunday, thank a Union.

There would have been no progress in the Western world towards abolishing child labour, establishing safe working conditions, a 5 day work week, benefits, breaks, healthcare etc. Crack a book and learn about it all this weekend. The facts may really surprise you.

...and unions completely lost their relevance 60 years ago. Maybe if we go through another depression and jobs become scarce they'll be a necessity again, but for now not so much.
