Too tame, needs to be more revolutionary... maybe add a dual-tone paint scheme
Also a kinda bulky front for a mid-engine sports car - for what? more cargo room?

Two Toned Paint schemes are not revolutionary - they have been doing multi paint schemes for decades - and they already come and go.
AS far as more cargo room - the C& did indeed have storage space behind the seats inside the car - that the C8 does not have - so adding a little more up front is to make up for that.
You may think this is not revolutionary - but a Mid-Engine V8 Sports car with that level of performance for a price in the low Sixty Thousand area is not just evolutionary - it is game changing as well
I will reserve Judgement until I see if I can easily get into the car.

Just as I speculated, GM designed with cargo rooms in mind, which brings extra 150 pounds than C7 when everyone else is using exotic carbon tub to shed weight... Stupid!

TOmM, regarding revolutionary I'm referring to exterior design only, nothing else. I do hope it really is gonna rattle the scene out there like the first NSX did

OK - its finally out, press launch seemed better than the Supra/Burpra launch (low bar), let's see how it does. However, if I was Chevy and wanted to show off a pretty knurled aluminum knob on the console it probably would have not included the shoddy stitching and cheap tan leather/pleather in the photo.
Keep us updated MD! Also let us know how much over list the 500 C7's you have squirreled away in a warehouse are getting for you in a few months as you trickle them out! That will be the leading barometer of success/failure here.

We've sold 3 ZO6s since the debut of the C8. All three for full price. Two were internet jobs. The pace of our Corvette sales has been steady for the past year. If the C8 sells, fine. So far we have no one wanting to drop a deposit on us for one, but we did have two withdraw their deposit and relieve us of Z06s (one local and one Internet).

Going transverse with the engine would have worked wonders for the styling.
