The local Alfa-Romeo/Maserati dealer is closed due to lack of sales, so I'm not surprised to see them being loaded for auction. Sounds like the group is terribly mismanaged.

This is a good thing, time to start purging those CDJR dealers that should never have been allowed near an Alfa or Maserati franchise and the enablers in Auburn Hills.

Ironically, in several markets FCA has allowed Maserati and Alfa-Romeo to merge with Chrysler dealers because they do not want to be unrepresented in that market. Those dealers are weathering this storm.

FCA demanded stand-alone dealers for Maserati, then for Fiat, then for Alfa-Romeo and by the time Alfa arrived, Maserati and Fiat were already taking on water. So, Alfa was allowed to be sold either by Fiat or Maserati. In some cases all three were folded together and then swept into a Chrysler dealer, but for the most part the dealers are disappearing.

The Alfa and Maserati cars being sold today are just NOT WORTH the money they are asking for them - especially the Maserati. THey are technically well behind the times as well.

FCA has been trying to market Maserati as an Exotic on the Ferrari level - but the cars are not on the Ferrari level.

Add in poor reliability and you get no sales - I am surprised that there are dealers left who only sold those brands

People know that Maseratis are Chrysler LX platform and a Pentastar V6. The Giulia/Stelvio are stunning failures in the market. Notice too that there is NO ADVERTISING.
