If You Were In Market For German Vehicle Which One Would YOU Buy RIGHT NOW?
The last 48 months in the car business has been volatile to say the least and only a gambler would think they know where the business is going to end up in the next two years.

Products and technologies are changing fast so we thought we take the temperature of the market right now.

Tesla has been a major disruptor especially to the German car companies.

But they'll tell you "Our great electrics are here or coming soon" but we ponder are as many people waiting for those as they claim?

So Spies, tell us.

If you were in the market for a German Car RIGHT NOW or in say the next 90 days, WHICH brand and model would you be throwing down your hard earned dollars on?

I'm too young to truly want an S Class but I love them. I'll take a black and chrome X7, please. As I've said repeatedly, it's a home run.

I already bought it - My S-650 Maybach was worth every cent - it is simply astonishingly wonderful - easy to drive - the V-12 is really nice - and it is one of the Few Mercedes I would compare with my 450 SEL 6.9 which was revolutionary at its time.

I drive it more than I will ever drive the two Phantoms.

However - the next two years are still easy to predict
While there will be dozens of new EVs on the market - ICE engine Vehicles will still dominate - taking more than 80% of the market. WE still do not have the infrastructure nor the generation capacity in most areas to allow even that - and the permits to produce them simply do not exist yet. THe market for EVs however - will get split up in such a way that few if any manufacturers make a profit on them. The HIGH end of the market will get taken over by the Premium Car manufacturers - the Tesla s - which they have reported will not be restyled over that time - will continue to slow and Die. The CUV space will have too many competitors that will put the Tesla X out to pasture. THe only question will be how the Model 3 holds on without Tax incentives - compared to other vehicles that do have some left

Definitely not a Porsche Panamera; that fat pig is the ugliest frikkin car ever built (this coming from a 911 Turbo owner).

The trend is crossover/SUV, so I would probably buy a Porsche Cayenne Turbo! It conservative and inside looks fabulous!

Mercedes S560 convertible in a wickedly cool, RARE color combo. S63 or 65 are cool but unneeded. It's a touring car.

The last S65 AMG cause the next coupe won´t come with V12s anymore and when you try a v12, you do not want to drive anything less, Or CLS53 AMG ...it is beautiful when you are beside it; I saw the new 8 Series (4 door coupe) and it looks mundane compared to the CLS.

I think they were trying to imply that German cars stink.
