The GREAT Debate: What Is YOUR Color Of The Year?

The GREAT Debate: What Is YOUR Color Of The Year?
If you've been following AutoSpies for some time, you may have noticed by now that certain things make us tick. One of those things happens to be color choices and how buyers spec their unique rides.

We love anything that's paint to sample or BMW Individual or Audi Exclusive. You get the gist.

Even when the colors are WRONG. There's something RIGHT about a buyer getting exactly what they've requested. Someone who has taken it to the next level is New Jersey's Michael Fux, who has consistently worked with brands like McLaren and Rolls-Royce to create one-off paints and interiors. Hats off to you, sir.

All that said, we were thinking this weekend. Especially after we saw this Porsche 911 GT3 Touring that appears to be British Racing Green.

What do YOU think is the color of 2019?

Make your case, Spies!

Whatever color Elon invented is the color of the year.

Not new by any means but I really like the Alpina Blue colors. I also like the lachsilber of the early e30 M3s.

Every color chart is pretty much the same these days: Black, White, Red, 14 different Silvers/Grays and one weird blue.

FYI...the 911 is not in British Racing green (which is darker) but in German "Safety Green" from the 1970's. German cars has lush shades (this green, lighter lime green optic yellow and orange) back then because some socialist bureaucrat thought it would be safer if pedestrians could see the car coming. Apparently the idea didn't work.

Blue is making a comeback. Mazda and Genesis have the best deep, metallic blues.

Any color but matte.

I would much prefer a dark color of Non-metallic paint. Over the years - it will be easier to maintain - and fix small scratches.
