After Watching The #DemDebate What Do YOU Think Happens To The Car Business If One Of Them Win?
In the world of politics, this was a big week because of the DemDebate which happened in the Motor City itself on Tuesday and Wednesday.

No matter who you voted for, the two debates were sure interesting to say the least.

The people who cover politics all came away with the opinion that the party is no longer moderate and the leading candidates philosophies have moved far to the left.

So it got me thinking...If one of these candidates wins in 2020, what do you think happens to the car business and would it be positive or negative.

One thing that was very surprising to me as a car person was that even though the debates were IN Detroit, The MOTOR city, they hardly spoke about what their plans would do for Detroit itself.

Spies, discuss...

Considering T's moronic tariffs and the fact that Obama saved GM and Chrysler, I'm sure the auto biz is rooting for one of them.

Yes Many auto enthusiasts, especially in the states, not to mention autoworkers/businesses that rely on the auto industry should be forever grateful to Obama, we get to see a C8 Vette now! Not to mention the Challenger and Hellcat’s fury

GM appears to be on the right path and Chrysler...well is Chrysler... LOL but they are seeing strong gains powers by Ram and Jeep

And if you look at the volume of the comments by the psychotic Left, they are once again 75% of the flow. In many cases they are just CTRL + V-ing the same boilerplate over and over. #NoThought #NoRealIntelligence and definitely #Insanity.

The car business will collapse.
The civilian airplane business will collapse
The petroleum business will collapse.
The U.S. economy will collapse should any insane Democrat gain power.

Under which president did the stock market rise more during the first 27 months of his presidency? Donald J. Trump or Barack H. Obama? Under which did the unemployment rate decline more? How about GDP growth per president?

Exactly. Economy always does better when a democrat is in the White House. Numbers don't lie.

Also, Obama cut the deficit by 60 percent during his presidency despite coming in during the worst downturn in 70 years.
tRump and the republfascists have increased the deficit by 70 percent in 2 years during a growth period! He has no understanding of economics nor much else really.

You campaign for your base to win the nomination, once the nominee you reach out to your base and swing voters and then govern for all the people when you become POTUS. Or at least that is how candidates did it in the past.

Every President is pro jobs and anyone in the role would fight to keep important domestic and strategic businesses healthy and strong. Ideas for new spending or services still have to pass through both houses before the reach the desk of the president.

So while you may want a Green new deal or Universal Health Care for all, or a wall or robot Space Marines, it still needs to follow the same legislative path. For good or bad that is why nothing much gets done in Washington. But this is the structure the founding Fathers put in place.

The 2020 election will be interesting. What happens after a bit less so as it will be pretty much the same as it was before.

I think any D that wins will not ignore the science regarding the ongoing climate change disaster. They would likely work on incentives that will speed the transition of the economy from fossil fuels to renewable energy. They will likely end subsidies (direct and even more indirect) to the oil and gas industry while retaining or increasing them to the EV industry. A D will likely push for lower emissions and higher fuel mileage standards. Personally on the last two, I agree with the lower emissions but could care less about the mileage standards.

For the 25% who will cast a vote for the current POTUS, please recall he won by about 180,000 votes in key states to tip the electoral college vote (how you really win a US election) all the while losing the popular vote by 3M+. Nobody expected Trump to win with his brasive style. Now running on his record and leadership style, it is anyone's guess how things will fall out in 2020. 180k votes out of 130M is a squeaker by any measure. It will take very little to tip it from one side to another.

Im sorry CC but 306 to 232 is a decisive victory, its a solid win and 2020 will be even bigger with the mess team the DemonRats are fielding. Also, President Trump has never been in any elected office (Mrs. Clinton was given all her offices because of her name not her achievements -> which would disqualify her for any office). That said Trump beat the media, the establishment, the swamp, the entitled, and best of all Hitlary ClintStone. That wretched Jezebel will never be anyone's president, PTL!!!

The Founders in their brilliance determined that the main population centers should not always determine who leads the nation. The Elec College was created so every state is in play and important to the process. Otherwise California and NY would pick all US Presidents. Do we really want nut bags in Cally and pathetic Commie Lib NY-tards picking? Look at their governors Newsom and Cuomo... dirt bags of the highest order. The EC is a brilliant creation just another thing that Makes America Great... Furthermore we are not a Democracy as many idiots will claim... "oh President Trumps a threat to our democracy..." MORONS... we're a Representative Republic.... look it up.

My favorite is the one who pretends to be black--even though she isn't--because she is ashamed of her heritage and who got to where she is by being a "mouthpiece" so to speak...probably in a bathroom stall.

The car junkets and trips to Las Vegas when I was a teenager were fun. I could do a great 5 o'clock shadow at 16, so I dressed for success, pretended to be in my 20s and enjoyed the alcohol and benefits. The two owners I usually went with knew I was no angel but they were like "don't ask don't tell". My wife has been my confidante since childhood, so she knew all of this. In high school she'd set me up with her friends who wanted fun time. Then on my 21st birthday, she asked if I was ready to come in out of the rain. I put a puzzled look on my face. She proposed to me. I've been stunningly happy since. She's ballsy like me and I adore it.

Obama did not save GM & Chrysler, he saved the unsecured Bondholders of GM & Chrysler. The secured Bondholders (which were supposed to be protected from loss and paid first if the company went bankrupt) took massive losses.

Btw those unsecured Bondholders that were protected, just happened to be the UAW and other donors to the Democratic Party.
