BMW May Have To Axe Models To Make Room For New EV Offerings - What Would You Kill Off?
The numbers seem to be in favor of the carmaker. BMW says retail sales and market share both increased, while earnings and profitability improved as well compared to the same period of last year.

With that in mind, the Germans once again committed to the electrification plans they already announced. The 25 new car models that were initially planned to hit the market by the middle of the next decade have been moved to 2023, and of the 25, more than half will be fully electric cars.

This is easy, kill all the even number models....2,4,6,8...and just make the 4 a 3 series coupe again

Any hatchback sedan (640I hatchback and 3-series "Gran Coupe) and the 2-series (which is better as a Mini)

BMW should find a way to use the i8 platform, ditch the batteries and install either the Alpine turbo V8 or else the V12 from the M760i. Those would be really coo and really collectible and give BMW a much needed halo car.

If the seats bottoms weren't so awful and uncomfortable I'd try to steal a remaining X2 in a funky cool color. It's a better mini with some testosterone.

Only the M2 even excites me and it's sad because as you all know, I USED to be a big BMW customer/lover.

Really? The X2 just came out last year

The X2 has been a total failure at sales projections so much so that BMW is creating a new small, volume crossover that they have to derive a name for because they won't call it X0.

Why kill any of them? Just offer an electric version.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Alfa Romeo has crashed so hard for sales volume that doddering old Lancia is beating them in Europe.

Just make an electrified modern shark nose 3.0CS. Don't care what they have to kill to make it.

Kill that car in the photo

Kill: 8 series coupe not a good GT, not a good sport car; X2 and also all cars that they think are luxury cars and put Focus in real sport cars.

BMW interiors have long lagged behind MB, Audi and others. While the designs often look good in photos, the actual experience reveals a sea of cheap materials - and cost cutting abounds. Not at all what is expected at the price level BMW resides in.

They seem to push a perception that they have now combined legendary performance with luxury.

But the interiors scream otherwise.

BMW won’t kill any milk producing cows until it’s only good for some stake.

SO BMW is going to kill the X2 just as Audi is readying a new Q4 and Q6? I don't think so.

TheX2 is a sales dud. They are not developing it further.
