Automakers Begin Cutting Side Deals With States To Avoid Being Penalized By Lax Federal Emissions Standards
Something is happening at the state level that the federal government most likely will fight against. Last week, the state of California cut a deal with Ford, BMW, Honda, and Volkswagen on a single set of fuel economy regulations. This completely bypasses what the Trump administration wants: a single set of federal mileage and emissions standards. California and the White House had been negotiating for months to make a deal, which has since proven futile. California’s decision also thrusts the issue of states’ rights front and center.

And now Colorado has joined that debate. Reuters reports Colorado has just reached a deal with major automakers to adopt California’s zero-emissions vehicle requirements, which take effect starting in the 2023 model year. General Motors, Volkswagen, Toyota, and Hyundai made the deal with Colorado on a program that begins with 2023 model-year vehicles. These manufacturers will be required to build and deliver a certain number of zero-emission vehicles.

Even Bicycles have an emissions profile - although they have the lowest.

Ev's - based on the need for rare earth elements that require Mining methods that badly polluted - are therefore not zero-emissions.

In fact - WALKING leaves behind residue from the soles of your shoes.

Hey jug, I agree you can have your own opinions, but not your own facts.
The economy was doing very well by common and accepted economic measures. tRump has not done much structurally nor policy wise to change the trends already in place.
What he has done, factually, is increase our trade deficit 20 percent and our annual budget deficit by more than 50 percent - the largest increase ever during an economic expansion.
These facts will have a long last negative impact on our economy long after tRump is a federal inmate.

Facts can and ARE manipulated, leave this off and its one fact, add this and its another. If you believe what libTurds call "facts" are "truth", you are seriously lost as there is a significant difference. Emotion vs Facts? Seriously? The left exists on emotion not reality or facts. But this is classic liberalism, accuse others of exactly what you are doing. The media reports what they choose to call facts but perhaps another source chooses something else.

True to provide facts from multiple sources to refute Obama's economic record. Find valid information if you can (spoiler alert, you cannot) to connect a tRump policy to the resulting economic result. The only two impactful and measurable results to date are a ballooning of the deficit and the 20 percent increase in the trade deficit. Guess those il-advised tariffs are not working, huh?

Xjug, the Obama administration pumped billions into the economy to keep it from collapsing. He reduced interest rates to make money available to businesses at nearly zero. He implemented policies to assure real wages grew for the first time.
You should take note, the economy was in free fall when he came to office. His modest tax increases along with return to growth resulted in the deficit decreasing by 60 percent.
What has tRump done. You cannot answer because there is nothing he has done - nothing.
Facts - annual budget deficit ballooned by more than 50 percent due largely to tRump's $1.5 trillion tax cut to the top 1 percent at the tail end of an economic expansion - beyond stupid and irresponsible.
Fact- the trade deficit has ballooned 20 percent. He trade policies will lead to long lasting damage to our economy that will last long after he is in prison.
