2020 Kia Forte GT Comes In At $3700 LESS Than a Jetta GLI

Fans of affordable sports sedans, rejoice! Kia has released pricing for the 2020 Forte GT sedan, and it starts from just over $23,000.

More specifically, the exact MSRP is $22,290, but when you factor in the $925 destination charge you end up with $23,215. Not bad for a 201 HP compact sedan that comes equipped as standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a sport-tuned multi-link rear suspension, and beefier front brakes.

If it was between this and a Skoda, I would choose this. Otherwise no thanks.

The Kia will have far superior quality to the Jetta.

Because you are defending Kia over VE you got down voted. Yet if you defended VE over Kia, you would had been in the positives .

Not bad and the fact that they didn’t ruin it with a CVT makes it even better

You got that backward. The Jetta should be $10K cheaper than the Kia given what a shit pile VWs are for quality and reliability. The Kia will easily go 100K with nothing but normal maintenance, but with VWs, after 50K miles, you're pretty much in for massive repair bills.

Drive the rice burner Kia and see what substandard engineering feels like.

Nah, Jetta owners already know how that feels.

The lack of knowledge mdarringer has when it comes to quality is always at the forefront! Kia(as well as hyundai) is starting to make cars that are more flashy and have better looking interiors that appear more upscale but dont let that fool you like it has mdarringer as the materials they use are still substandard and after a few months all of the typical squeaks/rattles appear that we are used to. There is a reason their cars are cheap and its not because they are better quality. I've had a Kia/Hyundai store next door to me for over 15 years and even though their cars have changed the customers still hate them after a few months and want to get rid of them.
