BMW's Claim That Tesla Isn't Competition Fails To Hold Up, New i4 Aimed At Model 3
BMW has officially declared war on Tesla. Originally, the German automaker aimed to offer as many as 12 new fully electric models by 2025, but increased competition in the EV segment has forced BMW to reschedule this target to 2023, which is ambitious, to say the least.

We recently learned that fully electric variants of the 5 Series and 7 Series are coming. But before then, BMW is preparing to unleash the iNext flagship SUV and the i4 electric sedan. We got our first look at a prototype BMW i4 back in January, and now hot weather testing has begun for BMW's Tesla Model 3 rival.

Actually BMW is correct

BMW is a real Premium car manufacturer

Tesla has never earned placement in that class. and Certainly the Model 3 interior cannot compete with a Sentra or a Corolla. It is more like a Model T.

BMW is in deep caca. With the exception of the X7 which is an unqualified success, the rest of the BMW line is sputtering. Mercedes is fine in the face of Tesla, but Audi and BMW are hobbled.

I definitely wouldn't say Mercedes-Benz is fine in the face of Tesla. Global sales are down 2.4% through July for Mercedes-Benz. BMW's global sales through June were up

BMW's global sales were up 1.6% through June.

If anything, it's Audi that's hobbled. I'd say most of that mostly has to do with Audi's exterior design stagnation and somewhat related to Tesla.

Mercedes is profitable and Tesla loses faster than a drunken John at a whore party.
