2020 C8 Corvette Already Records It's First Crash - Head On Into A SUV!

Less than a month after the new 2020 C8 Corvette dropped, the inevitable first public crash involving one looks to have happened somewhere in California.

According to the Wrecked Musclecars account, the Corvette clipped an oncoming SUV at a corner. There’s some real damage to the front quarter of the car involved, but it looks like things are mostly intact.

From video's online it would seem the C8 crossed the line and clipped a silver SUV, lost it's front wheel and then hit a red pickup truck, but kept going. The driver was a VIP who was allowed to go on this pre-production shake down drive. Too much speed and not enough skill.

I do hope no one was seriously hurt.

But at least it was driver error vs. a problem with the car.

That's not a head-on collision. That's more of what the crash tests are looking at now, more of a front quartering blow.
