Sad? If you have the means why not? Do whatever you want with your money.

I'm not a fan of this kind of stuff, but based on Jeep's resale history and the appetite for mods, I'd expect this to retain it's value at least as good as most anything else on the road.

I think the underlining take away is that a HEMI V8 can fit in the newer Wranglers. You cant even get an 8-cyl in either the Wrangler or Gladiator today. Still wouldn't be worth $100k.

There is more to this swap than just the motor. You need to regear, and should get new 1 ton axles (dana 60/80). And they do have different levels of motor. 6.4 SRT, the hellcat, demon & if you were lucky, a hellaphant. A lift will require also new drive shafts, drive axle shafts. Full suspension lift with 37-40's aren't cheap either.

I used to live in Utah and I had a Jeep Wrangler. It was a wonder off run vehicle that would SLOWLY crawl up or through most anything. On the highway, the Jeep was a nervous Nelly with a bouncy jiggly high altitude ride.
The LAST THING a Jeep needs is big gargantuan power. It would be a BIG mistake.
