For the greater world, the name Note Aura Nismo may not mean all that much, but for at least some of those with a deep passion for racing, it evokes the image of a hot hatch that's not to be messed with. And it got even hotter this week, after a beefed-up version of it called Aura Nismo RS Concept was presented by Japanese carmaker Nissan at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon.

 

The car has been developed by Nissan with help from its Motorsports & Customizing arm and aims to take the Aura Nismo to even higher levels of performance, for now, only in prototype form, but perhaps soon enough in a track-worthy form as well.
