Uber Technologies, the well-known American multinational transportation company, has launched a robotaxi service in Las Vegas, Nevada, alongside Motional, an autonomous vehicle technology company that's majority owned by the Hyundai Motor Group.

 

Uber, which provides ride-hailing services, courier services, food delivery, and freight transport from its headquarters in San Francisco, California, and operates in about 70 markets across 15k cities worldwide, is ready to fight Google’s Waymo and Tesla’s robotaxi plans with help from South Korea and Japan, among other places.
