Summer is nearly upon us, and with it comes an avalanche of music festivals all over the world. What better time, then, for British carmaker MINI to pull the wraps off not one, but two one-off show SUVs inspired by festival culture and music?
For the task at hand, the carmaker joined forces with Austrian design studio Vagabund, a crew that made a name for itself over the years by taking existing products and giving them a completely new interpretation. In this case, we’re talking about two otherwise mundane MINI Countryman S ALL4 models, which were given a role that was never really meant or imagined for them: moving sound stages.
What that means is that both of them are packed to the teeth with sound gear. If you look where the rear side windows used to be, you’ll now see a sound system in a cast polymer granite housing, specially developed to handle outdoor sound projection.
