On the morning of Sunday, June 14, 2026, two helicopters collided in midair above the Recreio dos Bandeirantes suburb in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

  

All six people on board the two aircraft were killed, with American musician and comedian Oliver Tree, Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim, known online as Gaspi, director and screenwriter Lucas A. Vignale, and Brazilian music producer Lucas Frota being among the victims.

 

Another reason for the bizarre accident to make the news was the fact that the helicopter carrying Oliver Tree and Gaspi burst into flames before crashing down on a BYD dealership’s rented parking lot, setting fire to around 20 electric cars.
