ockheed Martin and GM Defense signed a memorandum of understanding that seals their partnership on expanding domestic military production capacity. Facilitated by the U.S. Department of War, the deal combines Lockheed Martin's expertise with GM Defense’s high-rate commercial manufacturing infrastructure.

    

The strategic partnership comes in response to depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles, following unexpectedly prolonged international conflicts, and focuses on accelerating the manufacturing and delivery of mission-critical weapons and defense systems.
