BMW’s all-new 2027 X5 M60e has landed, and the verdict from many enthusiasts is brutal: it’s hideous. The Neue Klasse-inspired design brings awkward X-shaped headlights, bloated proportions, a controversial rear end, and overall styling that feels like a confused mashup of past BMWs and futuristic concepts. What was once a handsome, commanding SUV now looks bloated, derivative, and strangely proportioned.

Many wonder if BMW completely lost the plot with this generation.

Yet one simple modification appears to transform the entire vehicle. Fitting the new X5 M60e with Vossen HF-9 wheels finished in Silver Brushed works wonders. These aggressive, full-face Hybrid Forged wheels deliver a commanding presence with their brushed metallic finish and floating center caps. The silver tone catches light beautifully, elongating the side profile and giving the SUV a much-needed sense of poise and athleticism it desperately lacks from the factory.

Suddenly, the awkward lines feel more intentional. The stance drops visually, the arches fill properly, and the hideous design elements recede into the background. What was an eyesore becomes something almost decent—dare we say respectable—on the road. It’s remarkable how such a straightforward wheel upgrade can rescue BMW’s polarizing flagship.

So here’s the real question for you: Is the 2027 BMW X5 M60e’s new design still fundamentally flawed, or do these Vossen HF-9 Silver Brushed wheels prove that one smart change is all it takes to make it acceptable? Would you daily this setup, or is the core styling beyond saving? Sound off below.
