Like its larger sibling, the Q7, the Audi Q5 was never available in a full-blown RS variant. The range-topping flavor was always the SQ5, as the RS badge was reserved for the Q3 and Q8.

   

However, that’s about to change, because the new-generation Audi Q5 will now be topped by an RS Q5 derivative. Set to sit at the top of the family in terms of performance and pricing, it was spied a few months ago, and now, our man with the cam just immortalized yet another tester. This one was on towing during in Europe, presumably somewhere in the Alps, and had its front and rear ends, and the bottom parts wrapped in camouflage.
