Ford promised that it would launch its $30,000 electric pickup truck in early 2027, and it appears it's right on track with the testing program. Our photographers caught a prototype testing and were able to snap the first picture through the side window. This reveals a huge Tesla-style center screen, although the cover leaves much to the imagination.

 

Ford has been talking a lot about its upcoming EV program, starting with its famous "skunkworks" team located in Long Beach, California. The Blue Oval carmaker first revealed information about this team during the Q4 2023 earnings call in February 2024. Since then, Ford has offered more details about its work, which includes the Universal EV Platform and the Universal EV Production System.
