Confident that Apple Maps delivers the best map experience in the world, American carmaker Ford announced another major tie-up with the technology giant that will see this particular solution being included directly in the upcoming Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV).

       

While the conviction about Apple Maps being the best map experience in the world can be subject to debate, the fact that this system will be included in Ford’s upcoming mid-size electric truck is a big deal for the two companies.

 

That’s because the truck, like all the other upcoming vehicles that will be built on the UEV platform, has been designed to be affordable and, thus, quite fast in expanding its reach. And, in a world with a clear preference for Google Maps and Waze, that’s saying something.
