Mercedes-AMG took its GT prototype to Europe's hottest region for extreme hot-weather testing ahead of its scheduled debut as a 2027 model year. The testing, however, didn't go very well, and the vehicle ended up in flames.
     
A camouflaged Mercedes-AMG facelift prototype burned to the ground during hot-weather testing session conducted by the automaker's engineers, while driving through the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Spain, a common testing ground for extreme altitude and temperature evaluations.
