The 2027 Ford F-150 arrives with meaningful updates focused on powertrains, value-oriented trims, and streamlined options, even as a full redesign remains delayed until later years. Based on the latest order guide, the changes emphasize stronger base performance and more accessible entry points into popular off-road models. 

The biggest news is under the hood. Ford replaces the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with a new 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 as the standard engine on most XL, STX, XLT, and select Lariat configurations. Specs remain to be determined, but the larger Nano-family twin-turbo engine powers vehicles like the Ranger Raptor (405 hp) and Bronco Raptor, suggesting a solid step up from the outgoing 325-hp 2.7-liter. The 5.0-liter V8 returns as an option on King Ranch and Platinum trims, expanding powertrain choices alongside the 3.5-liter EcoBoost and PowerBoost hybrid. Raptor models retain their high-output 3.5-liter or supercharged 5.2-liter V8. 

Ford also introduces lower-content equipment groups to broaden appeal. A new Tremor 400A keeps the off-road essentials—locking rear axle, increased ride height, 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, Trail Control, and Rock Crawl mode—while using simpler cloth seats and fewer luxury features for a more affordable entry. Similarly, a new Raptor 800A preserves the Fox Live Valve suspension, 35-inch tires, and high-output powertrain but drops some premium audio, head-up display, and higher-output onboard power options. 

Lineup streamlining includes deleting the STX FX4 dedicated group (now an option on STX 200A), the high-end XLT 303A, and the base Lariat on the long-wheelbase 157-inch SuperCrew. New exterior colors arrive: Birch Sand, Neptune Blue, and Wild Green, replacing Antimatter Blue, Argon Blue, and Avalanche. Factory discounts on select builds and packages further encourage specific configurations.
