The next-generation Hyundai Tucson is one of the most closely watched forthcoming debuts. Alongside some of the clearest looks yet at the redesigned crossover's exterior and cabin, the carparazzi have also captured an overheating incident that brought the Alpine test to an abrupt halt.

     

Our photographers claim that Hyundai was using the development vehicle for brake testing on mountain roads when smoke began pouring from one of the front brakes. Eventually, both front tires failed due to the heat buildup, ending the test session on the spot. Support vehicles stopped to assist, with fire extinguishers being used to cool the front end of the prototype vehicle.
