This is it! No more electrification! Ram is officially phasing out its eTorque mild-hybrid system from the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine. This change begins rolling out in early 2027 model-year trucks, as the brand returns to a simpler, traditional non-hybrid V8 setup to lower costs and reduce complex 48-volt component issues.

The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 will drop the belt-driven motor-generator and 48-volt battery pack. The elimination stage is set to begin early in the 2027 model year, starting with the Ram 1500, following initial implementation in the street-performance Rumble Bee models and affordable Express trims.
