Not quite four years ago, Acura built its last NSX. It wasn't a huge surprise, as the supercar never quite gained a following like the original for a variety of reasons, from a protracted reveal to a complex hybrid powertrain. It's not a surprise that Acura hasn't exactly raced to make a replacement, either. Even so, we enthusiasts can't help but want Acura to try again. Now, this new Acura concept has us wanting that even more.

 

This new coupe concept is called the Acura Nexera Vision, and while it's a two-door sports car, the proportions are dramatically different to those of both NSX generations. It has a clear front-engine, rear-drive design with a long nose and short rear deck. It's a seriously low nose, and the huge air vent in the hood reduces the visual mass of the front end even further. The cabin has an almost bubble-like look, and actually takes up a good chunk of the car. This translates into quite a bit of interior space for the two seats with a large cavity in the rear for cargo. It seems more like a fast grand tourer than a hardcore sports car.
