Hyundai has officially revealed the fifth-generation Tucson, marking the compact SUV’s first full redesign in six years. The all-new model, showcased globally on August 19, 2026, abandons the previous generation’s flowing curves in favor of a more upright, boxy silhouette inspired by the brand’s “Art of Steel” design philosophy.
The exterior presents a stronger, more traditional SUV presence. A slim horizontal LED light bar spans the front, paired with vertical H-edge daytime running lights. Prominent fender volumes, a bold character line, and black lower cladding emphasize its rugged stance. At the rear, a striking full-width red LED taillight bar and three-dimensional prism detailing complete the modern, muscular look. Dimensions have grown meaningfully: the Tucson now measures 4,700 mm in length (+60 mm), 1,905 mm in width (+40 mm), and rides on a 2,785 mm wheelbase (+30 mm), delivering a roomier cabin with improved second-row headroom and easier access.
Inside, the cabin adopts Hyundai’s latest design language with a clean, floating dashboard, dual large digital displays, and the new Pleos infotainment system. Light-toned upholstery and thoughtful ambient lighting create a premium, spacious atmosphere. A new XRT variant adds off-road-oriented styling for adventure-focused buyers.
While powertrain details remain limited, the redesigned Tucson positions itself as a more practical and distinctive offering in the competitive compact SUV segment. Markets including India are already watching closely to see if the all-new model returns. The fifth-generation Tucson signals Hyundai’s confidence in a bolder, more purposeful direction for one of its global bestsellers.
