Toyota has built a reputation on reliability and durability. However, driving 100,000 miles in just eight months is something that not even Toyota would hope to get away without any major issues. Surprisingly, nothing major broke on this young man’s car except for one component.
Shane Somers bought the 2026 Toyota Prius LE earlier this year and has been driving it on a daily basis since. He is a medical transporter driver and has used the car for medical purposes over the past eight months, covering 100,000 miles (160,934 kilometers) during this period. After the first four months, he was at 40,000 miles (64,374 kilometers), so basically, what he did was keep up the pace.
