Fun as it is, karting is not exactly something anyone can do. To be able to enjoy racing these mini vehicles, one has to either own one, which is a pretty complicated affair, or be willing to travel to specialized tracks and rent one. Then, one must be willing to embrace the possibility of minor accidents happening, such as burns from touching the vehicle’s hot parts or soiling from chain oil.
That’s why not that many people are into karting. At least, not as many as would have embraced this activity if things were different. And guess what? Japanese carmaker Toyota, through its Gazoo Racing division, just announced it may have found the solution to making karts the perfect entry point into the world of motorsport for a lot more people.
