Lawsuit Claims Autopilot Controlled Tesla Accelerated So Hard The Tires Exploded Before Crash

A King County family is suing Tesla, alleging a Model X equipped with the company’s Autopilot technology suddenly accelerated through a red light in Kirkland and injured a father and his teenage daughter.
The lawsuit was originally filed in King County Superior Court by Linh Nguyen. Tesla moved the case to federal court on Wednesday.
