Hyundai announced a major new investment in Alabama on Tuesday.

 

Hyundai is set to invest “about half a billion dollars” at its manufacturing facilities in Montgomery, according to Automotive News.

 

The investment is to build new engines and hybrid components as “part of a major product offensive in North America,” Hyundai Motor CEO Jose Muñoz said at the 2026 Automotive News Congress on Tuesday.
