The crazy 646 is the most talk-about CLE these days, and for very good reasons, as it features plenty of upgrades, including a V8 engine. However, this is not the only CLE in the lineup, as Mercedes still offers the lesser CLE 53 in the AMG flavor, and the regular Benz models.
Mercedes-AMG’s CLE 646 has not only gone down the V8 route, but it is also the first CLE part of the mid-cycle refresh. And this information may have flown under the radar, but not anymore, as the refreshed design is now being applied to the lesser variants. Spied here is the 2028 model year Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet, which was recently caught undergoing testing at the Nurburgring.
