With the Art Basel festival taking place in Miami, Audi executives were at the event to give information on the R8.
Some of the points they made were:
1. The R8 with 420 horsepower has beaten cars with 500 horsepower around the Nordschleife due to the new suspension being more compliant than traditional setups. Audi didn't mention which cars they didn't beat around the Ring.
2. The next engine has been confirmed as a V10 with 500 horsepower. This will be out in Summer of 2008
3. The current car will debut in the U.S.
in August and September of 2007 with only 200 cars, all of which are sold out.
4. In Europe the R8 is sold out for the next 2-3 years
