The Diesel Driver is once again teasing us with one of BMW's amazing diesel-powered Autobahn machines: the new 535d gets an incredible 31 mpg in mixed (city and highway) driving on their test run from Munich to Bratislava. The only problem: it's not available in the U.S. and BMW hasn't announced firm plans to bring it here in 2011. With Mercedes offering the E350 Bluetec and S350 Bluetec, BMW needs to bring in more diesels esp. since the E90 335d will probably stop production by the end of the year.
