Ferrari has finally confirmed that it does indeed have a new car in the works and has announced it will utilize a website to introduce the highly anticipated GT sports car

The dedicated website (www.ferrarigtcountdown.com) will initially tease viewers in the coming weeks leading up to the fall debut at Paris's Motor Show with sound clips of its revving hand-built engine followed by images of the car.

As the show nears, Ferrari will provide more specifications, interesting tidbits and of course, the official name of the GT model.

The GT countdown clock currently displays 66 days until website goers can "feel" the car and 10 days until they can see it (or more likely a small part of it).

Based on what's been rumored about Maranello's newest model, its seems assured that the front-engine car will employ a version of Ferrari's 4.7-liter V-8 found in the Maserati GranTurismo and Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

In recent spy shots that we've shown of the so-called F149 model the smaller Ferrari looks to continue Pininfarina's design trend of elegantly blending contemporary lines with classic styling.

Those interested (as most of us are) in the new GT can register on the site for regular email updates and countdown alerts.
