Continuing the celebrations for the forty years of Mazda’s Rotary Engine Vehicles, the Japanese automaker announced the introduction of an ultra limited special edition of the RX-8 labeled as “Rotary Engine 40th Anniversary”. Based on the RX-8 Type S (six-speed manual transmission) and the Type E (six-speed automatic transmission) model grades, the “Rotary Engine 40th Anniversary” will be available exclusively in Marble White body color while the interior is covered in black leather and light silver Alcantara.

Apart from the special limited edition badgetry mounted on the side panels, the “Rotary Engine 40th Anniversary” also features an array of special equipment which include Bilstein dampers and a urethane foam-filled front suspension cross member and a special engine cover. The special edition RX-8 will be available in the Japanese market in only 200 units with prices for both the 6-speed manual and automatic versions set at 3,150,000 yen which is about $26,590 or 19,340 EUR
