Before the start of the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) we've been accustomed to attending The Gallery event. For those of you NOT in the loop, every year at Detroit's MGM Grand there is an exclusive VIP gathering.

Essentially, the gist of it is to wine and dine powerful folks who have absolutely no problem buying a high-end automobile/exotic at the drop of a hat. More or less an atmosphere is provided for folks to buy right on the spot.

In previous years more than $10 million in hardware has been sold at this very event.

But before the VIPs see the rides, they're treated to a dinner with celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. In addition, guests are treated to a fashion show put together by Neiman Marcus.

While this all sounds like a posh business transaction, there's more than meets the eye. That's because a portion of the funds raised via ticket sales will go right to Detroit's Henry Ford Hospital (HFH).

Sounds like a win-win for everyone!

DETROIT, Dec. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) today announced the lineup of vehicles that will grace The Gallery at MGM Grand Detroit, the first of several official NAIAS events to be held in Detroit over a jam-packed two weeks.
