President Trump who once declared himself "a very stable genius," in one of his famous tweets, recently sat down with CNBC for an interview while in Davos for the World Economic Forum. Although the interview touched on many topics, at one point the interviewer asked the president's opinion on Tesla's Elon Musk.

The president was pretty concise, noting that Musk is "one of our great geniuses," and that the US must do what it can to protect him and other innovators like him. Whether you like Musk or not, he's a supplier of jobs and a driver of wealth via innovation.

You can't knock that.

But that's not really noteworthy. Most people are aware of what Musk's companies have achieved — or, in some cases, failed. Trump pointed out in the clip below that Musk is going to build a new factory in America.

This is a bit perplexing given Tesla's latest factory in Shanghai (Gigafactory 3) as well as the German facility (Gigafactory 4) currently underway. Is another Tesla factory to be built in the United States (Gigafactory 5)?

Given President Trump's comments, it's a bit difficult to know for sure given he follows it up with "..he has to because we help him, so he has to help us."

What do YOU make of this, Spies?
