We've all seen the dreaded reserve fuel light turn on with a countdown to empty.
In fact, I would guess many of us have played the game to see HOW close to zero miles left we can go or even test how far the car/truck will go when it says zero miles left.
And as most of you know the gauges may SAY zero but we all know different vehicles have different 'reserve gas' miles left even though the ride is telling you different.
So in essence, a gas powered vehicle gives you a little piece of mind so when you hit rock bottom on the tank you still have a short distance left.
But our question TONIGHT is about EV's.
Let's TEST your EV knowledge.
Do EV's have the SAME secret reserve of power when the gauges read zero?
The closest I've ever come to finding out in real life was with the new Mach-E. I had 11 miles left and the closest charger was 10 miles away at a Target. I rolled in with one mile to go.
So what is your answer?
Go....
